start, countdown and ending

Hey guys,

Its that time of the year and no I don’t just mean Christmas although I will get back to that later, its the start of winter, when the temperature gets even colder, the dreaded white stuff falls and there is nothing better than cuddling up with a hot drink and film.

Apart from the snow I love winter, it brings a holiday I love, warm wintery fashion and my birthday. And so the countdown begins not only for Christmas but also my birthday which this time is going to be a big birthday.

I love Christmas, not for receiving presents ( although its always appreciated ), I love buying for other people and treating them, all the music, the movies, the decorations, the warm drinks, the food, the parties. I love the family spending time together and making memories, which is  what I think its all about.

We had traditions growing up like we always stayed at my grandparents house and would go into there room Christmas morning with our stockings and show them what Santa had left us.

Yes I will admit as I have gotten older shopping prior to Christmas is very stressful but I don’t let it get to me too much, the Christmas spirit has a way of putting me in a good mood, and with Christmas comes the end of the year, I can’t believe the year is nearly over already and is nearly 2016 already.

I will leave this post by saying I will be doing blogmas, some posts will be short but most if not all will be Christmas related.

Fresh Face

Hi guys, I would love to have been sitting at my new desk/vanity set up surrounded by makeup but alas that is not the case. I’m writing this in bed on my laptop feeling like ick.

This time of year I love the leaves falling, wearing boots and snuggly jumpers, not to mention the Smokey eye looks and berry lips but the one downside comes in the form of a cold, something I had been trying my best to avoid but unfortunately it got me so cue the cough, fever, bunged up nose and all the loveliness that’s comes with it.

So as I’m all wrapped up and drinking my tea I thought what better time then to write about something I had been meaning to write about for a while makeup removal.

Now I know I did do a post about some skin care previously  this is more about removing makeup, and the products I’m going to talk about you might have seen other beauty bloggers write about but this is just my opinion on them.

First up is micellar water, this stuff has been raved about so much its not even funny, as it was a hyped product I was a little sceptical about it but I gave it a try and fell in love. essentially its a cleansing water, so all you need is a cotton pad and your good to go. it removes my makeup so well even red lips and stubborn eyeliner which other makeup removers have struggled with, without tugging on the skin or leaving my skin feeling dry afterwards.

It has become my go to product and the second product is micellar wipes. they were my godsend while I was on holiday, all the benefits of the water in a convenient wipe. Handy for taking on holiday or overnight stay, or for those times when we are feeling a little lazy when it comes to taking our makeup off. unlike other makeup wipes these leave my skin feeling hydrated, others I have used in the past claim to be alcohol free but still left my skin feeling like it was in desperate need of a drink.

I will admit both of these products are not cheap but are by no means expensive. you definitely get what you pay for with them. they are available at most places where you can buy cleansers and face wipes and are currently on offer at superdrug.

Let me know if there a product you would like me to review, or think I should try or even a makeup look. I’m thinking of setting my self the goal of blogmas, blogging everyday from December 1st up until Christmas what do you guys think?

Hi everyone, first I would like to apologise for being gone for so long, it was never my intention to stay away so long but it has been one thing after another. First I decided to enjoy the rest of my lovely holiday, after all its not everyday you get to enjoy Madrid, Barcelona and sitges all the space of a fortnight. Then when I got home it was time to go back to work, and my work load increased, throw in birthdays and general day to day life and I struggled to find time for myself with enough energy. But now my life has somewhat evened out I am back, and have several new products I’m currently trying out, from kiko, revolution and essence ( not new to the market but new to me).

I will also be venturing to ikea once again and investing in the popular Alex drawers and organising my ever growing makeup and nail polish collections. If would you like to see pictures or have a recommendations of products weather they be makeup, skin care or hair that you would like me to try, please comment.

What’s your one makeup item that you couldn’t live without?
